Ohio is at the forefront of a new economy, creating new ideas, innovative businesses and new jobs needed for the 21st century.
It's an important story. And hiVelocity, a new online magazine launched on September 24 is here to tell it.
hiVelocity will publish bi-monthly, bringing its readers in-depth features, innovation and job growth news, Q&As by leading experts and pictures and videos that capture a new environment in which all things are possible.
"We will speak to, and with, the leaders of the emerging economy," says Brian J. Boyle, publisher of hiVelocity and co-founder of Detroit-based online media company Issue Media Group, which also publishes the Soapbox online magazine in Cincinnati. "hiVelocity is about challenging how you see Ohio and its future."
Why do we call it hiVelocity?
The name captures both the speed and the direction that characterize Ohio's growth. From aerospace, to advanced materials, to advanced and alternative energy to everything else, Ohio is moving forward and fast. In partnership with a wide variety of organizations that support Ohio's Third Frontier program and other efforts to grow new jobs in Ohio, we will get to the bottom of what's driving progress in our state.
hiVelocity will publish every other Thursday and will be distributed free via e-mail. Sign up at www.hiVelocityMedia.com. Do you know of a story that should be covered in hiVelocity? Send your story ideas and news tips to feedback@hiVelocityMedia.com.

Last year, Ohio won the Governor's Cup with a staggering 503 projects. This year, every single project must be submitted to ensure Ohio has a chance at its fourth straight Governor's Cup.
Submitting your projects is easier than ever. You can submit your projects on the Ohio Department of Development's website by clicking here. Do not include any information in your survey response that is confidential or has not otherwise been made public. For multiple project submission please forward an Excel spreadsheet to James Kell or call (614) 466-1067.
Thank you in advance for your submissions. We assure you the rewards of winning will by far outweigh the minutes it will take you to register your projects.
