JET College Caravan Scheduled for Feb. 17

JET

Teens looking forward to selecting colleges will be interested in this trip: JET (Jewish Experiences for Teens) is planning its "College Caravan" to Kenyon College, Miami University and Indiana University, on Feb. 17-19.

The group will tour each campus, as well as the Hillel centers, to learn about their Jewish and collegiate life.

The tour bus will leave the JCC on Sunday, Feb. 17 at 10 a.m. and return during the early evening on Tuesday, Feb. 19. Cost for the College Caravan is $100 per person, and includes transportation, two nights in hotels, and seven Kosher meals. (Vouchers are available for those who qualify.)

Registration deadline is Tuesday, Feb. 5, by contacting JET Director Samara Chodosh at (614) 559-6255.

Be sure to also mark your calendars now for these upcoming JET activities:

  • Thursday, Feb. 28 – Gahanna Lincoln Culture Club meets from 3 to 4 p.m. in Mrs. Acker's room #168. Teens visiting from Israel will be special guests.
  • Sunday, March 2 – The first Community Youth Israel Initiative will be held. Come for a roundtable discussion on Israel-related topics and stay for a performance by comedian Joel Chasnoff. Place and time will be announced later.
  • Saturday, March 22 – Annual Purim Party will be held at Gameworks with the Friendship Circle. A Megillah reading, raffle, food – and, of course – plenty of games, will highlight the event.
