Congregation Ahavas Sholom is the JCC synagogue partner for the month of February. "The partnership program between the JCC and local synagogues is a way to reach out to synagogue members and familiarize them with the programming and activities the JCC has to offer. In return, the project allows the synagogue a forum to reach JCC members," said Linda Starr, director of Member Services.
Throughout the month, synagogue members are invited to use – free of charge – the JCC's Diamond Family Fitness Center, indoor pool, gymnasium with a walking/running track, racquetball courts, free group exercise and water classes, locker and family changing rooms.
In addition, Ahavas Sholom members ages 18 and over will have use of the deluxe Health Centers, which include a luxury locker room, sauna, whirlpool and steam room, and free yoga and pilates classes. (Ahavas Sholom members 18 and over, who are currently members of the JCC, will be upgraded to the deluxe Health Center during February.)
Ahavas Sholom members also receive a 10% discount on purchases made from Art at the Center, The Judaica Gallery located at the JCC during February, as well as be eligible for the JCC member discounted price on Gallery Players tickets for the production of A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum, which opens Feb. 23 at 8 p.m.
