Even if you think you have two left feet, you don't have to worry about looking like a klutz during the Line Dancing classes every Tuesday from 1 to 2 p.m.
"Instructor Mary Ervin makes sure that each student is comfortable with learning the dance, and since the steps are repetitious, it's very easy to catch on," said Beth McCullough, JCC Fitness Specialist. "And, better yet, you don't have to purchase any special gear to participate, other than comfortable dancing or tennis shoes."
Debbie Vinocur, JCC New Horizons program director, noted that the classes are open to people of all ages. "We've had several seniors participating in the Line Dancing class for quite some time now, and they just love it. But the class is not just for the 'over 60 set.' Younger people can join the class and have a great time, too," she said.
The cost per lesson is $4 for JCC members and $5 for non-members. A punch card may be purchased ($18 for members/$24 for non-members) for five lessons.
