JCC North is gearing up for its 18th annual "Budding Artist" Art Show and Fundraiser on April 2, at 6:30 p.m.

"The Budding Artist Art Show is a great opportunity for the JCC North's current and past families to get together and help support the JCC North Preschool," said Nikki Henry, site director.

Henry noted that the Early Childhood Parent Committee puts together theme baskets for families to bid on during a silent auction. In addition, teachers have been decorating the classrooms and our building with children's artwork.

"The Budding Artist Art Show definitely is a family event for all ages," she said. "We would love to have everyone come out and see the show."

Who Needs Groundhogs? Have Dinner with Ratatouille!

Groundhog, Shmoundhog. Who cares whether the oversized rodent sees his shadow on Feb. 2 when you can have dinner with Ratatouille?

The Disney Pixar film about a rat named Rémy living in Paris who wants to be a chef, will be the highlight of the evening for "Dinner and a Movie at JCC North." The event, from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m., is geared toward children ages 2 through 12, who will certainly have fun watching the movie and eating a pizza dinner.

The kids also will be participating in amazingly awesome activities and indulge in scrumptious desserts. They also will be testing their skills in the kitchen by cooking up fun and a few simple edible treats of their own.

The fee is $30 for JCC members and $40 for non-members. For more information contact Sue Vail at (614) 559-6251.
