Temple Beth Shalom in New Albany is the JCC's Synagogue Partner for the month of January.
Under the leadership of Rabbi Howard Apothaker, Temple Beth Shalom is a warm and inclusive congregation whose members are inspired to explore and express Judaism within the broad and dynamic framework of Reform beliefs and practices. The synagogue's leadership seeks to provide Jewish spiritual, educational and social opportunities which encourage personal development and social responsibility as well as promote greater knowledge of Jewish history and culture.
Temple Beth Shalom is a 400 member Columbus-area Reform Jewish Congregation offering weekly Sabbath Services, religious and Hebrew schooling and Bar/Bat Mitzvah tutoring, personalized lifecycle observances, family and adult educational programming, social, charitable, and cultural activities, conversion and pastoral counseling
"The partnership program between the JCC and local synagogues is a way to reach out to synagogue members to familiarize them with the programming and activities the JCC has to offer, and in return allows the synagogue a forum to reach JCC members," said Linda Starr, JCC Member Services director.
Synagogue members will be offered a free JCC membership during their featured month at the JCC. All JCC/Synagogue Partnership events are open to all members of the JCC and the featured synagogue.
The following partnership events are being planned for January:
