As you may know, ADAMH has not been immune to the effects of the waning economy. In the past year, we too have also experienced significant cuts to our budget.
Each year the Mentoring Center of Central Ohio designates an Outstanding Mentor of the Year and a Commended Mentor Award to two individuals who embody the true spirit of mentoring. This year, two members of the Northwest Counseling Service Mentors Program were recognized.
Join the Consumer & Family Advocacy Council (CFAC) on Saturday, June 20 to learn about treatments for persons with mental illness living in jails and prisons and to learn about the Mental Health Court in Franklin County.
Matilda Woods was recently named the new Human Resources Director for ADAMH.
"Not all scars can be seen by the naked eye, on the inside I cry, on the inside I die...it was like I was born to be rejected and disrespected...so many of us brothers are locked behind bars, that is not justice, that is just us, and our invisible scars."
ADAMH will host the second showing of the video, Seeking Cure: A Somali Experience. The video showing will give Somali residents another opportunity to learn about ADAMH and the ADAMH system of care.
ADAMH has been in both print and broadcast media several times during the past few months. Here are a few highlights.
In the March 2009 edition of the ADAMH E-Newsletter, in the Cultural Competency article, Liban Bule was mentioned as a worker for ADAMH funded Rosemont Inc. Bule actually works with ADAMH funded Southeast, Inc. located at 15 East Long Street, Columbus. We regret the error.
